Who:
Any student is eligible to enter videos in the ConcernityK12 Video Contest. You may submit as many videos as you would like.
What:
The videos should deal specifically with health, safety, and prevention related topics that will impact peers locally and across the country. Topics should be, but are not limited to alcohol awareness, underage drinking, nutrition, drug use, tobacco, personal safety, safe driving, drinking and driving, mental health, eating disorders, personal safety, sexual health, chronic diseases, and any other general health topics. We want to hear and be impacted by your stories and creativity. The topics and scope of the videos should be to inform and educate using creativity and thinking outside the box. The recommended length of video submissions should be 30 seconds to 90 seconds. Please remember the copyright guidelines for music is 30 seconds or 10% of one song. Please make reference to your source of information if using statistics and references to research. Each video with be reviewed for appropriateness before being posted to local and national Concernity website. While the videographer retains ownership and copyright of the video, entry of a video gives Concernity.com the right to reproduce and display the video and stills from the video for promotional and educational purposes.
When:
The video contest will run from August 15th, 2008 to November 15th, 2008. The cash prize winners will be named on December 1st, 2008. A panel of ten college students will vote on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.
Where:
Videos can be submitted through your local schools Concernity site, using the UPLOAD VIDEO tab or at www.myconcernity.com or www.concernity.com using the video upload tab. Submissions will be reviewed prior to being posted on the sites.
Why:
This contest is a way for students to make a difference in the lives of others across the country. The impact you can have on another person’s life is something that will benefit you and society for years to come. The cash prizes can also help the bank account!
